Costume, Props & Makeup.

Prop List:

Small Knife - instantly thinking of the criminal behaviour that is stereotyped with a knife. The type of people that would carry this around.
The use of a kitchen knife gives verisimilitude to the audience, as in the event of an attack, it is much more likely to be carried by a person as self defense. 

Glass - to be filled with whiskey so it shows the sophistication of what he is drinking out of - rather than drinking out of the bottle.







A bottle with alcohol contents inside, I have used this to connote the unhappiness of the character, the depression that they are feeling in their life, but also it can show the various problems they are suffering with. It is an instant sign of to the audience.
However, because the contents of the bottle are red, we see the link with the danger on the inside.

Costume 1:

I have chosen to base my costume around the characterization of James Bond, although he is not a spy and playing a detective, I feel that the look of James Bond is very distinct among the audience that I am trying to appeal to.

Costume 2:

My second costume was based around a child like character, because my character is suffering trauma for what he does to the woman he loves, I felt that the pyjamas would take him back to young state of mind where it would appear nothing has happened.

Costume 3:

In this monologue I am trying to get the appearance that my character is being forced to say this speech after he killed one of the drug addicts; which he turned out to fall in love with. For the costume I am choosing to wear a white t shirt and black trousers, the white was chosen to both look professional and to contrast with the makeup on the face.

Makeup:



In the monologue sequence, I want my character to appear to be beaten up, the only way I could make this possible was to research into giving black eyes and bust lips without causing physical damage to a person.

Needed for this will be lipstick, foundation, eye liner and purple eye shadow.
